Semifinal showdown
Rafa defeated David Ferrer of Spain in 3 sets at Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters: 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 and he`s ready for the semifinal showdown against Novak Djokovic.
After the quarterfinal match, Rafa said: "I think I played at the highest level in a long time, for a long time; three hours almost. The way I played the third set after losing a disappointing second set, it was a great third set in terms of tennis, in terms of physical performance, in terms of mentality."
"Every day is a different day. Every day is a chance for me to improve, to be more confident, to find the feelings I need to find to play my best game."
"I think this tournament has been the best tournament since the beginning for me in terms of concentration, in terms of nerves; general nerves. I didn't play with the nerves that I was playing with in the previous tournaments. I feel, in the important points, I have been able to play the way that I wanted to play."
On head to head, Rafa leads Djokovic: 23-19. Their last match was in Roland Garros final, last year when Rafa won in 4 sets: 3-6, 7-5, 6-2, 6-4.
