Rafa in Miami final

Tomas Berdych has been forced to withdraw due to gastroenteritis and Rafa is in Sony Open final.

In Miami final, Rafa will play against Novak Djokovic of Serbia. On head to head, Rafa leads Djokovic: 22-17. Their last match was last year in Barclays World Tour Finals, where Djokovic won in straight sets.

Great comeback !!!

Two hours and 35 minutes needed Rafa to defeat Milos Raonic of Canada. Rafa won the quarterfinal match in 3 sets: 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

After the match, Rafa said: "For me to be in semi-finals after losing early in Indian Wells is very important for my confidence.

"The difference between quarter-finals and semi-finals is a lot, and tomorrow I have another day to try to keep playing better."

In Miami semifinal, Rafa will play agianst Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic. On head to head, Rafa leads Berdych: 17-3. Their last match was in 2013 at Barclays World Tour Finals, where Rafa won in 3 sets: 6-4, 1-6, 6-3.

No problem for Rafa in 3rd Round in Miami, where he defeated Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan in straight sets: 6-1, 6-0. 

After the match, Rafa said: "I played a very complete match.No mistakes, serving with good per centage, and playing a lot of winners. My movements were better than what I did last events."

No In 4th Round, Rafa will play agianst Fabio Fognini of Italy.

Rafa storms Hewitt

Just one hour and 9 minutes needed Rafa to win his 2nd Round match against Lleyton Hewitt of Australia: 6-1, 6-3.

In 3rd Round, Rafa will play against Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan. On head to head, Rafa leads Istomin: 3-0. Thei last match was in 2012 at Roland Garros, where Rafa won in straight sets: 6-2, 6-2, 6-0.

Rafa was eliminated too early this year from BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. He lost the 3rd Round match aginst Alexandr Dolgopolov in 3 sets: 3-6, 6-3, 6-7 after 2 hours and 19 minutes of play.

The next tournament in Rafa`s schedule is Sony Open Tennis in Miami. The tournament begins on March 18.

Tough !

It was a tough fight for Rafa in 2nd Round at BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. He defeated Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic in 3 sets: 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 after 2 hours and 24 minutes of play.

After the match, Rafa said: "It's true that with love/40, I was very close to losing, to being out, but I think I did two good serves and then I played a great point. Tough one. Anything can happen, but in the end I played well. After that, I think I played better."

"I'm happy to be through, because the start of the match, even if I felt at the beginning I didn't play that bad, it was very quick 4-1 for Stepanek, and I felt I was not playing that bad."

In 3rd Round, Rafa will play against Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine. On head to head, Rafa leads Dolgopolov: 5-0. Their last match was this year in Rio final, where Rafa won in straight sets: 6-3, 7-6.
